Thanks for sharing your experience. I was approached by our administrator and asked to do a little blog evangelism.
I agree with your approach of demoing what you are doing, showing what you are up to as a model of what blogging can be used for. I think  I will be approaching in the same way, just showing what myself and my class are up to.
From what I have heard and seen, the numbers thing is typical. There seems to be a small response across platform from teachers, who seem to be reluctant to dabble in the blogosphere. I, too, thought I had converted a colleague, but he seems to have stalled at one post. I mentioned to him about what I am doing with blogs and my &lt;a href=&quot;http://dcsenglish.edublogs.org/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt; lit class &lt;/a&gt;, and the &lt;a href=&quot;http://herot.learnerblogs.org/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt; lit team blog &lt;/a&gt; and he actually sounded interested, so I am going to continue trying to promote this platform.
