Rank, order and file is nothing more than preparing bloggers for war and we are seeing lots of that emerging in the blogospherecity.

Why is it then Graham, knowing that this "open" practice of speaking ones mind invites comment do certain individuals in their pursuit of professional practice choose to build their own networks using web 2.0 tools and spend so much time inviting others to join in ? It's a bit like teams. Gladiators.

Perhaps the whole idea of community as a online network or online print-down resource is dead. Perhaps wikipedia is reaching a zenith and will become something that someone (I darent say who) mention high in the VET Ed. research world called "the bastards model of knowledge authenticity".

Individuals do indeed seek ways to distribute, aggregate, collate, disseminate. What they choose to use to do so with decides their fate in my opinion.

Have you chosen the 'right' venue in which to express your views or will your feeds now judge you in the future ?

I'm not unwilling to state what I feel and that will be my fate.

Thanks for making these points.

However promising a practice, I find myself unwilling to participate at this point. I'm not sure why, but you've touched on some of the issues here.
