We are not there yet with regards to access but it is getting better. I remember talking to a friend of mine in Northern Ontario who said that his town had a broadband pipe that was about 5mb. That is for the entire area. Satellite access is available but quite expensive.

On another note – okay Graham – now you really have me interested in your presentation at the K12 Online Conference! Looking forward to some great ideas.

Good point on broadband access. But it’s sometimes a matter of priorities – a flash new plasma screen is bought at a cost of thousands, but a few hundred extra can’t be spared for fast broadband. Different budgets is sometimes the argument…
