It is an open source project markedly like Digg. It's what I had in mind when I began thinking about <a href="http://borderland.northernattitude.org/2006/12/23/reading-to-write/" rel="nofollow">reading to write</a>. Using the crispy news tool as a filter to limit fruitless searches for elementary students might build some motivation for them to write about what they're reading (that's a big maybe in my situation) since they can share and vote.
