This is a great post! I wish all teachers were as reflective of their practice.
For some starters, try the free content on Yenka http://www.yenka.com/freecontent/search.action?r=new
Also Mark Cogan's great interactives
http://www.primarygames.co.uk/
http://www.interactive-resources.co.uk/
These are sold through Ideal Resources in Australia
http://www.ideal-resources.com.au/
and are a great resource for starter and review activities with kids.
Some great sharing for the IWB users of the world.

Cheers

Joyce Valenza and I are pushing Xtimeline like yummy, delicious crack (or cookies).

There is no other way to describe the time line of the tiger attack as anything but 'great'. :)

And I'm not sure where I heard this one, but I've sold it over and over again whenever I'm working with classes: If you are using Flickr CC, don't search with nouns, search with adjectives. It really gets students thinking creatively and deeply about theme and message.

So, don't search for 'Pig's Head' (too literal) if your doing a presentation on Lord of the Flies...search 'evil' or 'depraved'(emotional, thematic).

Nice post here. Chock full of goodies. Thanks. Getting ready to share with my willing audience.

I have been putting all of my SmartBoard lessons up on a wiki. I've been trying to use a lot of Flickr CC myself lately to make my presentations more visual.

http://gesdmath.wikispaces.com

Chapters 9 & 10 are the newest ones I've put the most work into.

Make sure you post about your Felton project if you end up doing it. It seems like a good idea to me for my classes too, but I'm not really sure how to even start setting it up.

Wish I'd been in you class when I was at school - I might have understood math concepts :)

Don't know if this link to Google Timeline Search will be helpful or not but it could be interesting to explore.
