I am very glad that you started using technology in your classroom. Using technology is a great way to keep students interested in the lessons and it is also a great way to keep students up to date on what is going on in class (like using a wiki). I am not a teacher but I am a student at Malone College studying to be a teacher. During my observation of classrooms, I have observed two teachers who both used a SmartBoard. A SmartBoard is a type of IWB and I think it is a great piece of technology to use. It not only makes teaching easier, but it helps classes be more fast-paced and more can get covered during a lesson. Keep with learning more ways to incorporate technology into your classroom and I know you will be great!

Hey Graham, that's great. Of course you will do the invitation justice. As a secondary school teacher I have been looking at ways to bring the capabilities of the IWB into literacy education for the older students. And I mean in an interactive way. I find it harder for the years 10 to 12. English and Literature. would love to hear what you think about this.

Hi Graham

IWBs are very powerful tools for converting less technology savvy teachers. Cost is an issue - check this out. Haven't tried it myself but it looks awesome. Would love to give it a try http://youtube.com/watch?v=5s5EvhHy7eQ
