Great notes Graham, really gave me some insight into the work of someone I hadn't heard of before now. I must follow his work some more...

[...] I’m sure many folk out there in Web 2.0 land have had a dose or come across the work of Mark Treadwell. Mark’s recent presentation on the ‘emergent 21st century teacher’ attended by a group of 140 educators from a cluster of South Australian schools was a ‘brain dump’ of knowledge accompanied by well-researched facts and figures on where education systems have been - where they are now - and where they are headed (past, present and future contexts). Graham Wegner has provides and good synopsis of the presentation. [...]

Hi Graham,

Having attended the day too, and having heard Mark for the second time within a year - I felt that Mark gave us plenty of 'meat on the bone' to chew over. As we all have our own 'world views' I hope that our respective colleagues can critically reflect / dialogue on the key themes to make meaningful steps towards being a contemporary educator, rather than articulate the same 'road blocks' and barriers to moving forward. It is our job to keep the ' you know whos' honest.
